Kicking off fall photography season with....the broken camera!

I was so excited to get asked to take pictures for a family a 3rd year in a row; how do you stay creative, what new shots and tricks can I incorporate? I also got to take the training wheels off my new camera.... I wish all the shots I took came out, it was totally my error, had fantastic subjects but here are a few of my favorites.

Happy Holidays..........

So what I learned this holiday season, is now that I have the time to photograph again, I need to keep getting out there and taking the training wheels off my camera..... I've captured some great shots, and I've realized, I've got to come up with some better tricks for toddlers....they are a tricky sort to capture.... I'm usually all about the candids, but numerous moving targets is new to me!

Here are a few more of my favorites this year....Candid or attempted to stage!
Teenagers are ironically wayyyyy easier to get.....

My daughter poses and sits still for anyone but me.....

My nieces and nephews are little works of art.....

My sisters are always gorgeous pregnant.....

My brother will kill me for this one.....

Wagons are essential for photographing toddler twins.....

World's best looking Irish sisters...

Almost guaranteed they were plotting against us all

Back in the saddle.....

So finishing grad school has put a major damper on my photography....so I was so happy when my friend from nursing school asked me to take xmas pics again this year..... you may remember these cute faces from last year.....

This year, the boys were a little harder to catch- but we had an amazing backdrop at Irvine Park....

Thanks Again for the opportunity- Hope I captured some of the fun......

Bumptastic Since I've been Gone

In the year I seemed to not post anything on my blog, my facebook friends now I have been busy taking pictures- Here are some highlights....

Back in the Saddle

So to say I have not had time to play with my camera between Grad School, Working full-time and being a mommy would be entirely true. I find most of my pictures now are not in fact off of my SLR camera but rather right on my IPhone- So since I am nursing myself back to health, and it is the holidays, I was SOOOO excited to be asked by 2 awesome families to take some photos for the holidays.
I have done many other little shoots here and there since my last blog post, I just quite frankly haven't dedicated the time to posting those cute memories- and to those cute clients/family members I apologize.

But some of these little kiddos are too cute not to share!

Two very different locations, both fun families with great ideas.  And kids that love a camera! I love when your subjects have ideas for what to do!

I really missed using my creative side! It's nice to have people who WANT you to take their picture- You'd think my daughter would be more used to it and would perform for me-- but sadly I must pay someone else for her to perform!

So needless to say, I'm trolling the pinterest boards for more ideas and plan on exercising my SLR more than I have been lately- as I sure missed her!
